Downes Construction Company worked with Day Kimball Healthcare on a complex, multi-phased, occupied renovation and the expansion of their Emergency Department (ED).
The project included the renovation of 2,600 sf of administration space within the facility, as well as 20,400 sf of phased renovation and expansion to the ED on the main level of Building C.
The addition and expansion into an adjacent space of the hospital created swing space and initiated a series of relocations for the renovations to the existing ED. Downes created a comprehensive phasing plan that accommodated the main campus traffic lanes, ambulance driveway, and entrance of the ED and Diagnostic Imaging suites.
