Downes was the OPM for the new Spaziano Elementary School in Providence, RI. This was the first new school built in Providence in over two decades, making this special project even more significant. The school was a part of the ongoing $300M school program happening in Rhode Island.
Spaziano Elementary school is 4-stories and 85,000SF and includes classroom spaces, special education rooms, outdoor play areas, specialty art and STEM learning spaces, as well as a gymnasium and cafeteria.
The school will serve roughly 684 students in Pre-K through 5th grade and provides a dual-language learning program, providing all Providence residents an equal chance at a great education.
