Long Hill Fire Station No. 2

Downes Construction acted as Design Builder for this new 18,000 sf Fire Station for the Long Hill Fire District in Trumbull. As an all volunteer department, their previous building was inadequately sized for today’s apparatus.

The new state-of-the-art facility houses three tandem apparatus bays, kitchen, bunk area and locker room to accommodate 12 firefighters on a daily basis. A community/meeting space for internal and public use, a decontamination and storage room, as well as the district office is housed in this new facility.

Demolition of the existing fire station occured upon completion of the new facility.
