The Town of Old Saybrook selected Downes Construction for the Design/Build of their new police station facility. The project consists of an adaptive re-use of a former ATT/SNET building at 36 Lynde Street which will included renovations and additions. Remediation and demolition of the existing police station on Main Street for municipal re-use has also been included within the scope of work.
Downes served as the single point of responsibility for all aspects of the project delivery including management of all owner soft costs, site investigations, permitting, design, construction, commissioning, and move-in.
