The Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum is a collection of original colonial homes in Connecticut’s oldest town.
The Joseph Webb house from 1752 is a National Historic landmark, serving as General George Washington’s headquarters during the planning of the Yorktown Campaign in 1781 that led to victory and the end of the American Revolutionary War.
Paired with the Silas Deane house from 1769, the Isaac Stevens house from 1788, and the Webb barn in the back of the lovely 8 acre parcel combine to create a realistic restoration of 18th Century American life.
The new Education and Visitor’s Center will be connected to the rear of the Webb house and provide galleries, a large meeting hall, library, and Collection storage.
